Reading Mentors

Dear Parents:

Books For Kids is excited to partner with the Campaign for Grade Level Reading and the Manatee County School District to ensure that all children are reading proficiently by the end of the third grade,

Books For Kids engages community volunteers to provide one-on-one reading mentoring to students in first, second and third grades.

Our virtual volunteer will listen to your child read, review vocabulary words, at your convenience, and reinforce phonics, fluency and comprehension skills. Books For Kids will also deliver a brand new book to your child’s classroom each month.
